“ As a (very picky) Peruvian, I am typically not that easily impressed. Today, not only I was impressed but gladly surprised with the incredible taste of Taipa’s cuisine but also treated like a king. Miss Laura’s attention was superb. For a an hour or two, I felt as if I was having lunch in Lima. I highly recommend the ceviche de aji amarillo and the Tallarines a la huancaina... AMAZING!!! Great to feel our “paisanos” succeed! Way to go Taipa!!!! Kenny Silva March 2025 ”
“ First time having Peruvian food and it was excellent! We got the ceviche and grilled octopus. Both were delicious and the cool acidity of the ceviche went well with the warmth of the octopus. Also got the Maracuya Cake which was to die for . The restruaunt had such a good vibe and the staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations! ”
“ Hidden Gem with Authentic Peruvian Flavors – A Must-Visit! My husband and I visited TAIPA in South Miami for the first time today, and it was an incredibly delightful experience. We were specifically craving chupe de camarones and stumbled upon TAIPA during our search. Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, a promising sign. Despite its simple setup with not too many tables and basic chairs, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The owner or manager was very attentive and accommodating when we expressed our preference for a booth. He kindly suggested we wait for 10 minutes until one was available, which we appreciated. The service was impeccable, with our waitress and other staff members being exceptionally pleasant and attentive. We ordered chupe de camarones, pulpo, and pescado a lo macho. The chupe was slightly more salted than we prefer, but overall, all the dishes were delicious and tasted authentically Peruvian. The portions were generous, and we were so satisfied with the main courses that we skipped the sides like rice and corn. We were truly surprised to find such a fantastic little spot in an unassuming shopping plaza, just 25 minutes from our home. TAIPA may not look fancy from the outside, but it offers an authentic and rich culinary experience that we highly recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! ”
“ Laura is a beautiful asset for the restaurant. She was attending us in every detail to enjoy the food and environment. So educated, courteous and good trained on the preparation of the dishes, leaving the desire to get back to taste the another dishes that the restaurant have to their customers ”
“ So good! I had the Lomo Saltado, it was savory and and delicious! My wife and I shared the white fish ceviche. The combination of flavors was unexpected and crazy good! I wish we'd saved room for dessert. ”
“ This is my second review of Taipa in the last three years. A quick lunch with a friend did not disappoint. We both had the rocoto mixed and it was delicious, refreshing and well-balanced. I am very picky about restaurant ceviches because they are usually very acidic to avoid anyone getting sick but Taipa’s ceviche was well balanced in flavor and proportion. The service continues to be outstanding; friendly, a big genuine smile and you don’t have to beg to have your glass water refilled. It is a small but cozy restaurant and it is always full which is a sign of excellent food and service. Great job! ”
“ Came to Miami for vacation and was craving some good Peruvian food and found this place. It was AMAZING! Favorite meal of our entire trip. Our waitress, Johanna, was super nice and helpful explaining the different menu items too. She even made some recommendations and they were awesome! The place is super clean and the atmosphere is perfect. Will absolutely be coming back to this place the next time I’m in the area. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you need to! ”
“ Taipa means abundance in Quechua language native to Peru, and this cool, hip, family type restaurant has an abundance of serving size, atmosphere, and cool staff including the owner Carlos who offered a hospitable greeting and cool vibe. Our waitress Haila was also cool and helpful. Loved the decor and Peruvian decor mixed with a certain American hipness as reflected even on the menu. The menu prices are VERY reasonable, making this a great VALUE. Food presentation was amazing especially given the value prices, and was very tasty overall, but some of the dishes needed a lil something. This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm recommending it to you for a cool, unique experience. Come hungry and save room for dessert because they're tasty and are all hand decorated with the famous Peru logo. Pretty cool! I can see why Carlos is opening a second location soon and I know he'll have continued success!! ”
